Evidence

A decision should remain inspectable

A decision should remain inspectable after the model, vendor, version, or people involved have changed. Model Culture emphasizes evidence rather than vendor reputation or generic benchmark rank.

A public benchmark alone does not determine the correct enterprise AI. Organizations need a durable record of what was evaluated, under which conditions, and why a decision was made.

Inspectable record

What an evidence record can make visible

The fields below illustrate inspectability. They are not a certification. A completed evaluation is not an approved configuration.

Conditions
Controlled comparison of two completed evaluations against the same workload description.
Observations
Configuration B showed broader cited support and more stable verification behavior in this example. Configuration A responded more quickly and left citation completeness unresolved.
Provenance
Organization-held illustrative record. First-party evaluation context. Not a third-party certification.
Unresolved questions
Citation completeness for Configuration A. Throughput under peak load for Configuration B.

Knowable later

Questions a configuration record should answer

Independent understanding depends on being able to answer questions that a model name cannot answer by itself. Evidence is what makes the sequence inspectable later.

  • What intelligence was evaluated?
  • Which exact configuration was evaluated?
  • Which role was it evaluated for?
  • How did it behave while doing the work?
  • What version or configuration changed?
  • Can the results be reproduced?
  • Does a meaningful change require revalidation?
  • Could another intelligence configuration perform the same role?

Record

Provenance, version, and scope

A completed evaluation is a record of what was observed, not an automatic approval. The organization still decides what follows. Observations remain bound to the conditions under which they were made.

Provenance

The record should say what was evaluated, in what context, and that the organization holds the evidence. Provenance is not independent certification.

Version awareness

Exact version and configuration identity belong in the record. When those change, prior evidence may no longer apply.

Scope

Observations are bound to stated conditions. Unresolved questions remain visible. Revalidation is a question after meaningful change, not an implied perpetual approval.

Change

When conditions change, evidence tells you what still applies

Models change. Versions change. Workloads change. Infrastructure changes. Evidence gives an organization a durable record of what was actually evaluated so it can determine when prior understanding needs to be revisited.
